1999 Honda Accord Air bags Problems

“My 16 year old daughter was coming home from school in the rain and was unable to stop in time to keep from rear ending another vehicle. Our car sustained extreme front end damage. Fortunately there were no injuries but the air bags did not deploy. The entire front end is crumpled and still the air bags did not deploy. I thought my daughter was driving a safe car.”

“I was driving my vehicle and I over corrected and ended up going down hill hitting this drainage pipe thing with cement walls I flipped 3 times and my air bags did not deploy I suffered a broken neck from this wreck”

“My vehicle was in the left turn lane waiting for the light to turn green. I went and didnt realize the far right lane was for parking only on a 1 way street left headed east it was a 1 way with 2 lanes moving forward a 1 lane next to the curb where vehicles park in front of there residents. I slammed into the back of the parked white chevy truck. My vehicle came to a sudden stop forcing my body forward towards the windshield. My seatbelt only restrained my body so far so I used my foot to apply the brake. My cars passenger side air bag did deploy but the drivers side did not. …”

“I was driving at a very slow speed of 15 MPH on 11/21/14. I tapped a curb in a parking lot and the airbags deployed. An officer was called to the scene and was also surprised that the airbags deployed without any front-end damage or with such a slight impact. A mechanic also verified that there was no under-carriage damage and was also puzzled as to why this happened. We contacted Honda of america who was not only rude but was not the least bit helpful. We are hoping for some assistance, especially in light of the vast recall of the takata airbags which is what we have. …”

“The 1999 Honda Accord was at a red light. As I made a left turn, I could smell some type of fume coming from the steering. Then saw srs light came on and within about 10 seconds, the driver's airbag deployed for no odd reason. The car as never been in any accident, all parts are original as day 1 when we bought it new. Honda dealership in renton said they did not find any electrical system in their test that could cause this malfunction, why it malfunction is still in the air? They are telling me to file a claim with my insurance company. …”
