“The srs unit has failed which is an acknowledged problem in some 2008-2010 Honda accords but my particular model is not eligible for the recall. Considering the failure and the acknowledgment from Honda on this exact issue, my car should be eligible for the recall free of charge. I came to know about this problem because of the airbag indicator light being on.”

NHTSA complaint #11363706, filed 2020-10, 90,000 miles

“I had stopped at the end of a private road and the car was in park and the engine was running. I was sitting in the driver's seat and adult grandson was sitting in the front passenger seat. He got out of the car and shut the front passenger side door hard. The front and rear passenger side air bags deployed. As well as the side airbag from the front passenger seat.”

NHTSA complaint #11154075, filed 2018-11, 171,477 miles

“Gerald jones Honda on 12/23/17 inspected srs lt on and tech clifford warner wrote in invoice no codes need srs unit and charged $120. The srs light always comes on when car is turned on. I do not think it is safe air bag system. Honda motors refuge to even talk further and it wants me get respected again and again. I had four total inspection and test results does not give any error codes. What should I do?”

NHTSA complaint #11337511, filed 2020-07, 106,115 miles

“The drivers side air bag and side curtain and passengers front air bag deployed as my son was driving in a parking lot where he works. Thank god he works at a hospital. I thought hondas was safe but have my doubts now? It's seems like no one wants to help other than our insurance. He said he was maybe going about 10 miles an hour.”

NHTSA complaint #11000107, filed 2017-06, 103,000 miles

“Received a takata inflator recall on my front passenger airbag which was fixed by the dealership. My air bag light started to come on (while vehicle is parked or in motion) after the repair. This has been ongoing for several months. A diagnostic test is reading error code 92-20 where the front passenger side airbag will go off during an accident whether or not a passenger is in the vehicle.”
