“This has happened multiple times within a couple of months. The automatic emergency breaking automatically breaks when there is no danger of a collision at all. The first time is when I was coming out from under an overpass on the highway, and the shadow made the car think that a collision was imminent and slammed on breaks. I was going 70 miles an hour and luckily no one was behind me. Another time was when I was driving through an area with road work and was following the path set by cones. …”

“While driving at high speed, the vehicle falsely initiated severe emergency braking and aggressively shook the steering wheel, actively fighting my input to keep the car straight. My safety was at risk as well as others around me who had to brake and swerve to avoid collision while I struggled to get to the highway shoulder. The vehicle remains at the dealership as they are suggesting a steering column replacement. I have filed a case with Honda requesting a master technician perform a formal ADAS camera alignment and an EPS circuit inspection, but they have not yet responded. …”

NHTSA complaint #11771527, filed 2026-10

“We were driving home after a day trip and the assisted everything (cruise control, power steering, adaptive lane control, brake assist), basically all of the driver assisted functions including the diagnostics for the phone app. We were about 60 miles from home in a remote area and the car said we could keep driving but to call the dealer . We got home, made an appointment and after a couple days (we are 90 miles from the dealer) the car suddenly fixed itself. Dealer said next time it happens bring it in . Yeah, these things only happen in the middle of nowhere at 10 pm. The car is brand new. …”
