“My car steering well gets randomly stuck for seconds at a time, Honda has failed to comply and help us get the steering wheel recall done since October 2024 and now February 2025. They keep saying we are on the list and they will send us a letter home or to keep waiting 12-15 days but there is no real help from Honda.”
NHTSA complaint #11643474, filed 2025-02“Steering becomes sticky. The steering wheel will feel like it has grooves at point, and you need to exert a bit more strength to turn. Reminds me of old cars with hydraulic power steering, when the power steering was going bad, or was running low on fluid. Noticeable at most speeds. Issue started after I clocked in 2800+ miles on the car. Bought it new in late July 2023.”
NHTSA complaint #11555633, filed 2023-11“Purchased my car in July new. In August I got a CBMS warning for emergency brake system failure. Took it in and they said the front camera failed and needed to be replaced. It’s been on backorder since August 23. Because of this all the safety features including lane assist had to be turned off because the steering wheel would randomly jerk even when I was within the lane lines. …”
NHTSA complaint #11555579, filed 2023-11“The vehicle starts to shift me off of the road as steering wheel gets “stuck”while driving on the interstate. Lane assist and any/all safety features were not enabled. Took my car to the Honda dealership on November 21. I was informed it is “sticky steering” and the part is on backorder indefinitely.”
NHTSA complaint #11561693, filed 2023-12“When the car is been driving over 55 miles the steering wheel feels like sticky and stock. Most of the problem can be feel it on the highway. Is hard to drive like this because you have to put a lot of effort to drive in a straight lane. I took it to my local dealer and they said is normal but I know is not normal because this start after the 6,000 miles before that it was normal. Im scared if something happens while im driving with my family.”
