“EPS Rack is still not fixed. My dealer keeps telling me no parts when clearly they have them because I know of other people who have gotten theirs fixed. I was told next oil change we will fix it. NEVER HAPPENED. This car is not safe to drive. It veers all over the road and is a chore to drive. Dealership does not care. Honda does not care. Unbelievable.”
NHTSA complaint #11626807, filed 2024-11“The steering sticks and unsticks randomly. I’ve brought it into the dealership 3 times and they can’t duplicate it. I’ve contacted Honda Customer Service and they told me to keep taking it to the dealership. I’ve had two other people drive my car and they agreed there is something seriously wrong with the steering.”
NHTSA complaint #11576338, filed 2024-03“My car has two recalls, including EPS recall #24V-744, which I’ve been informed won’t be completed until February 2026. However, my recall letter from Honda states that repairs should be completed within **60 days** of contacting the dealership (February 25, 2025). This delay is far beyond a reasonable timeframe, especially since the recall involves a potential safety issue. I’m concerned about the risk of driving my vehicle for an extended period without the necessary repairs and need clarification on how this situation will be addressed.”
NHTSA complaint #11644853, filed 2025-02“This isn't about a specific incident. For about four weeks, I've been having an issue with the steering on my 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid. When I get up to speed on interstates, the steering becomes sticky or clunky. After the car goes straight for a half mile or so, it will resist minor adjustments in steering. It's most pronounced when I try to adjust the steering wheel to the right. The steering is not smooth like I experienced with each of my other cars. I've turned off the lane change warning system, to no avail. It seems that I have to drive the car for awhile before this problem surfaces. …”
NHTSA complaint #11566241, filed 2024-01“Vehicle steering sticks and cause a momentary increase in steering effort that could potentially cause overcorrection and an increased risk of a crash. The sticking typically happens when the steering wheel is slightly turned to the left; the steering column and wheel automatically skip back to the right. It feels as if it is 'jumping' or 'skipping' a cog in a wheel. …”
