“Airbag seat belt light remains on but is intermittent when this happens. Not covered through Honda or extended warranty. Unable to get a code using a bosch live data plus code reader. Seat belts do not retract properly. I do not know if this is part of the Honda recall or recent federal investigation open on the airbag control unit. This airbag/seatbelt light will stay on the entire time I am driving. Bu may not duplicate the next time I start up the engine. Very concerned as Honda ma not be able to duplicate as light intermittent. Please investigate thouroghly:”
NHTSA complaint #11203580, filed 2019-04, 31,000 miles“The crv was involved in a large accident and the left front lower frame rail is crushed from a head on collision. The left air bag did not deploy nor the seatbelt lock up causing a minor injury to the driver. Honda USA was contacted but refused to send an engineer to inspect the car.”
NHTSA complaint #10904988, filed 2016-09, 11,000 miles“The seat belt has never retracted correctly, it is slow and when removed it just hangs at the side and out the door frame. I took it to the dealer on 16 jan 2017 and they said it just needed the guide cleaned and charged me $2.47 repair order. This car had 21,450 miles on it. This did not fix the seat belt - I wrote it in their review. I received a call from the service manager and he ordered a seat belt re-tractor. I returned to the dealership on 21 jan 2017 and seat belt was replaced. This did not fix the problem - wondering if it was even replaced?”
NHTSA complaint #10949743, filed 2017-02“The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. While driving at various speeds, the contact's vehicle collided into another vehicle while making a left turn. The details of where the contact's vehicle was struck could not be provided. The air bags failed to deploy and the seat belt failed to retract. The contact sustained minor injuries, but it was unknown if medical attention was received. A police report was filed. The vehicle was driven from the scene and then towed to an independent mechanic where it was confirmed that the driver side frame rail was crushed. …”
