“Hyundai is having a real issue with their fuel pumps. My car is currently in the shop for its 3rd fuel pump at 120k miles. The safety issue is how the pump goes out with no indication of an issue from the car at all. This time I was parked at a gas station, however the 2nd incident is more concerning. Then, I was traveling on the highway at approx. 70-75 MPH. Without warning, the engine stopped and of course so all of the other controls from the engine. …”

“While driving my 2010 Hyundai Genesis sedan I began to feel dizzy and light headed. My heart began to race and my hands became numb and tingly. This also happened briefly yesterday ( 8/1/11 ). Upon exiting the vehicle, there was a very strong smell of gasoline. A friend drove me to the er where I described my symptoms to the doctor on duty. After drawing my blood, it was determined that my co - carbon monoixde, level was higher than normal - 3 times normal. I had been in the car for approximately 3 hours today. …”

NHTSA complaint #10416805, filed 2011-08, 36,299 miles

“Engine cranks normally attempting to start. When failed to start, the 'start' button is pushed to stop the attempt. Tried again. Took 3 attempts to finally start. Once started the engine revs at high RPM's. When put in 'd' the car lurches and accelerates without pushing gas pedal. If the car is turned off after starting and restarted, fast acceleration is eliminated. Car has ultimately started, but the fear is it will get worse and ultimately fail to start stranding the driver. Car runs perfectly in normal driving on the highway. This has occurred almost daily for 90 days. …”
