Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“This is an ongoing issue. The panel lights and indicators associated with climate control setting module (in front of/below) the dash are very dim. In normal to bright daylight it can be impossible to see. As a result drivers have to take their eyes off the road and bend down a little to see what the climate control lettings are set on or whether a selection has been set properly. This has obvious potential safety issues. Hyundai tell customers the modules are performing normally, but there are many, many complaints on the web. These modules need to be recalled and replaced.”
