“I was finishing going slow into my parking space & all of a sudden vehicle accelerated on its own & hit a wall a few feet in front on me then rolled back & took off again & hit the wall again. It then rolled back & I was able to stop it.”

NHTSA complaint #11771629, filed 2026-10

“My vehicle was purchased new and has less than 5100 miles on it. The screen and heads-up display randomly begin to glitch and then simply go dark. I can't see my speed, fuel or charge levels or any important data while driving. This has happened multiple times already. My vehicle is a 2025 model. Interestingly, Hyundai had the same type issue on 2024 models and issued a TSB to resolve this issue, but have not issued any repair for the 2025 models. This is a major safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11690729, filed 2025-10

“On June 30, 2026, at approximately 8:45 AM, I was driving my 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid on the freeway with cruise control set at 74 mph. While driving, the vehicle displayed a message that cruise control had been disabled. As the vehicle began slowing down, I pressed the accelerator pedal, but the gas pedal did not respond. I had to carefully move over to the right as the vehicle continued slowing, then pull over to the side of the road. Fortunately, there was a safe place available for me to pull over. …”

NHTSA complaint #11747483, filed 2026-06

“While driving my 2025 Hyundai Tucson hybrid in traffic, the car suddenly would not accelerate normally when I pressed the accelerator. I was frightened and concerned because I was in active traffic and could not make the car accelerate any faster. I turned on my hazard lights, cut the car completely off, and then restarted it. After restarting, driving returned to normal. The first time it happened, the problem went away after restarting. I thought that I may have done something wrong. The same problem happened again many weeks later. …”

NHTSA complaint #11768095, filed 2026-09

“I recently purchased this car and just took it on our first highway trip of about 1100 miles. I experienced Three Problems that are a safety concern. 1. Need to take a Coffee Break Notification. This comes on frequently and is distracting. No need to have that come on. When driving in heavy traffic at speed, this is too distracting. There is no way to turn it off. 2. Camera focused on the driver. If I take a drink from my water bottle, looking around the water bottle to see the road, the camera can not see my face/eyes. …”
