“The brakes squeak constantly with dealer parts. My radiator cracked and needed replacement at about 50,000 miles. According to several owners on the nico blog this is a common problem. I am very concerned about these issues. I would like to know what can be done.”
NHTSA complaint #10597578, filed 2014-06, 50,000 miles“While driving, and I'm getting ready to slow down or stop. The car completely shuts off. I have to put it back in neutral quickly in order for it to start. Also while at a complete stop. Once I accelerate, the car just cuts of in the middle of the road! This week alone I've almost had three accidents because of this. My car has been at numerous repair shops. They've all stated the cannot find anything wrong. Once my check engine light comes on. Bring it back. Really?! It cuts off daily, while in motion at least 6-10 times.”
NHTSA complaint #10936768, filed 2016-12, 99,000 miles“Auto stalls at low speed motion either while slowing down or starting to move. Stalls out in traffic and almost caused several wrecks on a city street when stalled trying to get through traffic.”
NHTSA complaint #10939686, filed 2017-01, 106,230 miles“The engine repeatedly stalls driving at low speeds or while braking. This has happened dozens of times, including while driving through parking lots, braking during rush hour traffic on city streets and freeway off ramps as well as braking on a left turn through a traffic light on a highway, almost causing me to get rear ended multiple times. This problem is identical to problems that precipitated a recall of other inifiniti models, same model year, however the EX35 was not included in the recall. Car has been taken to the dealer who cannot identify the problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11164798, filed 2019-01, 100,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 Infiniti EX35. While driving at various speeds, the engine stalled and the entire instrument panel illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.”
