“The contact owns a 2006 Infiniti FX35. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to be inspected and the contact was informed that the vapor hose and fuel filler hose needed to be replaced. The contact partially repaired the vehicle. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 05V555000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 175,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11472039, filed 2022-07, 175,000 miles“The contact owns a 2006 Infiniti FX35. While the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed fuel leaking; he could also smell fuel in the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that the vehicle was not included in recall 05v555000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000 and the current mileage was approximately 57,000.”
