“The dashboard of the vehicle has started to melt/bubble up. This has resulted in a very shiny/sticky dash which on sunny days reflects light back up onto the inside of the windshield creating a very distracting/obstructing glare making it difficult to see the road. Infinity extended their warranty from 2010 up to 2014 to replace the dashboard but will now do nothing to correct this safety hazard even though it did not appear on my car till this year.”

NHTSA complaint #10731309, filed 2015-06, 115,000 miles

“My 2006 fx 35 dashboard has bubbled. It is so ugly that we had to buy a covering to cover it up. I am very disappointed that this is happening to a car that we spent a lot of $ on and is supposed to be a luxury car -- my husband goggled and found there was a recall in 2015 on 2006 infinity fx 35 and also found that Infiniti admitted to using a poor material on their dashboards which was the reason they are all completely falling apart and bubbling up. …”

NHTSA complaint #10643290, filed 2014-10, 88,100 miles

“The contact owns a 2006 Infiniti FX35. The contact stated that the rear lift gate door no longer stayed open.
