“The car was in park in our garage. My husband was sitting in driver seat with one leg out and the door open. The car made a sound and started moving in reverse. It only stopped because the door hit our garage wall and he was trying to stop the car. He cut his hand in the process and the door frame bent and glass shattered.”

“2016 Infiniti QX60 93,000 miles The battery light was on. I have noticed that my CVT transmission goes into limp mode. This has happened several times with no help from infiniti. I can only go 10MPH and it revs only 1000 RPM, then it'll be fine after I turn off and on again. Had battery and alternator checked and they're 100% good. This is very dangerous when it happenes in traffic and infiniti won't do anything.”

NHTSA complaint #11624582, filed 2024-11

The contact stated that the vehicle struck and ran over his spouse. The spouse sustained five fractured ribs, a fractured collar bone, a fractured clavicle, a punctured lung, and contusions on the head and face. The contact was transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical attention. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.”
