Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“This vehicle has been to the dealership five times for the car alarm will randomly go off. This issue is hard to replicate. In the final time that I took it to the dealer, I had a rental car and what we found is that when the car is parked and it’s locked and you pull in next to it. The car alarm will go off the car was never touched. It just goes off. does it go off in that situation every single time no. So it’s at the point where if the alarm goes off, it doesn’t mean anything to me. There is no concern. …”

NHTSA complaint #11728557, filed 2026-04

“The car does not start once it is parked, ignition is turned off and car is locked. The car requires a jump in order for it to start. Once it is jumped, the car has malfunction alerts, the battery light is lit in the vehicle and some features of the car do not work (i.e. lane assist, auto feature light is flashing, but when pressed nothing happens). My safety has been put at risk because the car could possibly shut off while I am driving, I could be stranded somewhere with my two young sons due to the car not starting. Once the car is shut off and locked, it does not restart. …”

NHTSA complaint #11456277, filed 2022-03

“The main screen blanked out completely Heads up display Cruise and adaptive and blind spot indicators all ceases to function Air conditioner has lost function twice since I got the vehicle Leak in rear pipes Rear hatch intermittently doesn’t close properly thus an alarm stays on Driver side mirror won’t fold out after retraction Rear wiper goes off for not reason Lane departure is unreliable Infotainment system needs to be rebooted often”

NHTSA complaint #11524768, filed 2023-06

“The vehicle does start after being parked overnight. This has happened on over 15+ occasions and counting. Once jump started, warning lights appear on the dash display. Already brought it in for service 2x, battery changed 1x and the battery change solution is not working. The problem is still repeating. Vehicle is being driven sufficiently daily to charge the battery, therefore this should not be happening on a new vehicle. I noticed there has been another complaint.”

NHTSA complaint #11494491, filed 2022-11

“With less than 2000 miles, the dash has blacked out while driving and that seems to have cleared finally. Now the hatch back will randomly open when walking near the back of the vehicle. Sometimes when the hatch is open, it will close while putting groceries in the back. It has been in to Infiniti for this and battery was replaced because they said it was bad. After a couple of days, hatch is acting up again like it has its own mind. Fortunately, it has not open while driving but warning light will come on saying it is not secure. Stop and reclose, repeat. Ugh. …”
