“On February 27th, 2026, around 2:00 PM, while driving my 2024 Infinity QX60 on Hwy. 459 in Birmingham, AL, at approximately 70 mph in heavy traffic, the engine suddenly shut down completely and shifted into neutral without any prior warning lights, noises, or symptoms. I had great difficulty figuring out what had happened, and struggled to avoid being hit while crossing over three lanes to coast to the shoulder. I attempted to put the car back into drive without success and was absolutely terrified as I barely missed being hit by an 18-wheeler traveling behind me at a high rate of speed. …”

NHTSA complaint #11723735, filed 2026-03

“The liftgate is not merely a matter of inconvenience. Its repeated failure directly interferes with my ability to enter, exit, and safely use the vehicle. I am concerned that the liftgate could also fail during an emergency or close, latch, or operate unpredictably. Right after we first bought the vehicle, we brought it in due to the hatch not opening, approx. Aug. 2024. They said to shove a screwdriver into the hatch to get it working again. It's also listed in their vehicle booklet that is given to you when you buy the SUV. That doesn't mean there is a recall but it's pretty darn close. …”

NHTSA complaint #11759843, filed 2026-08

“On August 10, 2026, my 2024 INFINITI QX60 unexpectedly locked while the Intelligent Key was still inside the vehicle, trapping my two young children inside on a hot day. The Intelligent Key was inside my purse on the front passenger seat. The purse also contained my phone, house keys, and another vehicle key fob. There were no large metallic objects in the purse. I was closing the passenger-side rear door when I heard the vehicle lock. My hand may have contacted the exterior rear-door handle/lock sensor while closing the door, but I cannot be certain. I did not intentionally lock the vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #11756519, filed 2026-08

“The contact owns a 2024 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the vehicle experienced electronic malfunctions with unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the dipstick was not properly in place. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that on another occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the system malfunction message was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the same local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. …”

NHTSA complaint #11676694, filed 2025-07, 35,000 miles

“Most issues began around the 6th month of the first year of ownership and have persisted. Current mileage is ~31,500. Safety-related defects: 1.Washer system leak/empty reservoir: washer fluid repeatedly drains/ends up empty, preventing windshield cleaning while driving and reducing visibility. Began after a dealer visit on 06/03–06/04/2025 for panoramic sunroof noise (“concern began after prior dealer visit on 06/03–06/04/2025”). 2.Rear driver-side window intermittently lowers by itself (electrical), creating distraction and a safety/security risk. …”
