“My ABS pump has failed, and chrysler is failing to comply with NHTSA recall #96v260000 having to do with the ABS pump. The recall clearly states that the brake actuator piston assembly and the pump-motor assembly which will have a lifetime coverage . I called the chrysler recall center today, and at 5:01pm pst, sasha told me that there is no warranty on that part, and I was denied help. The NHTSA recall clearly states otherwise. …”

“I recently installed new bumpstops on the rear of my Jeep and noticed a decrease in braking ability. Today while driving I had a sudden loss of braking power and rear ended another vehicle. While inspecting my braking system and my Jeep for damage. I noticed that I had a rear brake line collapsed. I remember reading about recall 90v206000. It stated that contact at full jounce may cause the brake tube to collapse and restrict the hydraulic brake fluid pressure to the left rear brake which affects the braking capability of the vehicle. This was quoted from this site. …”

NHTSA complaint #10212024, filed 2007-12, 233,198 miles

“Second ABS braking system failure (under recall 96v260000). Pump motor / actuator piston seal failure for second time. Caused accumulator to fail - manufacturer refuses stand behind ABS system - will repair only the part under lifetime recall. Have had two front end collisions due to this product failure. All power assist is lost to brakes - left with manual brakes only - brake warning lights come on, pump runs continuously - brake pedal vibrates/hums when depressed.”
