“Again the check engine light came on. This is our 2nd engine and the dealer says it is this new engine that needs to be replaced. The Jeep will idle rough, shift on it's own, all the same transmission issues. And now the parking brake locked up and I had to have it towed home. I assume it is the transimission because it still will throw it in neutral while driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11352581, filed 2020-09, 99,950 miles“Leaving my driveway the e-brake activated and I could not deactivate the unit. Called aaa to have the Jeep towed to contemporary automotive. The tow truck driver had a difficult time putting the Jeep on the ramp truck. I am fortunate I was not going 50mph. The service adviser said the problem with the e-brake was that a sunroof drain hose was kinked and water cause the e-brake fail.”
NHTSA complaint #11209636, filed 2019-05, 74,030 miles“While either slowing to a stop or accelerating from a stop, the vehicle jerks , or lunges . Though I apply the pedals smoothly (gradually), the car moves as if I were pumping the brake at ~1 second intervals. Because the car is in drive and my foot is not on the brake, this causes drivers behind me to get awfully close (as my brake lights do not signal that I am stopping). This happens chronically (>1x /week).”
NHTSA complaint #11383170, filed 2020-12, 50,000 miles“I took my Jeep into clear lake jeep3 times and stll not fixed the car came to a stop the ebrake engaged all 3 times I was on the highway came to a trafic light and stopped and when I put my foot an the gas the car jurked forward and would not move because the ebrake eniaged lucky I was not on the freeway I could have been killed I see this is happeningto other people with 2014 jeeps please help”
NHTSA complaint #11080617, filed 2018-03, 29,000 miles“Went in to stateline for a brake booster recall after receiving a letter stating the part was in. After sitting for an hour, I was then told I did not have a part there and I would have to wait for a letter. Another words the dealership gave my part away and a 2nd letter has never come in the mail. The brake booster has never been fixed.”
