“The service shifter light was coming on. All the lights on the gear shift were lit up. And the emergency brake kept applying on its own. This happened several times over the course of time. I took it to the dealership and it cost me almost $400 to replace the bezel and wiring harness. The service tech at the dealership said we were lucky that the emergency brake didn't apply while going at higher speeds.”

NHTSA complaint #11324574, filed 2020-05, 55,900 miles

“We have had this Jeep for one year. The the first repair was to service the brakes system after 1200 miles. Today same thing again. I got in my Jeep to run an errand and started the car pressed on the brake to place the car in reverse and hear a hissing sound under the dash. The brake booster failed again I know this because its happened at 1200 miles also and the dealer replaced it already.”

NHTSA complaint #11173196, filed 2019-01, 30,402 miles

“I got into my car, buckled up, turned the car on, put the car into reverse pressed the gas, started moving & all of a sudden it was like I hit a brick wall, the car stopped right in its tracks. My dash lite up with the words service shifter. ***this has happened more than once”

NHTSA complaint #11353737, filed 2020-09, 72,000 miles

“My Jeep completely shut down while I was driving. I was approximately 1/2 mile from home, made a left turn and everything shut down. I was driving approximately 32mph. It did restart after about 15 minutes and I quickly drove back home and have not driven it since.”

NHTSA complaint #11255576, filed 2019-09, 22,455 miles

“We just purchased above vehicle with 13 miles on it. Like the car, but we were crawling along and the car in front of us stopped. My husband tried to stop and hit both the gas and brake pedal at the same time. The brake pedal and gas were side by side and he hit both at same time. No space between the pedals at all. Cost us over 3,000 just for ours. Thinking of getting another vehicle just because of the above.”
