“I was driving and stopped at traffic light and notification popped up saying shift gear to park (p) and to desired gear . After performing that and when I went back to d all power went away and car started rolling backwards (there was a little slope). So I went to park again and tried it once more, power came for 3 seconds and went out again.”

NHTSA complaint #11403476, filed 2021-03, 67,894 miles

“Again the check engine light came on. This is our 2nd engine and the dealer says it is this new engine that needs to be replaced. The Jeep will idle rough, shift on it's own, all the same transmission issues. And now the parking brake locked up and I had to have it towed home. I assume it is the transimission because it still will throw it in neutral while driving.”

NHTSA complaint #11352581, filed 2020-09, 99,950 miles

“While driving on 2 occasions this week my car stalled out of the blue and I lost power. Additionally my car on several occasions has shifted into neutral on it owns while driving. After doing research on the problems I found that some 2014 Jeep cherokees were recalled for this exact issue but my car was not in the recall.”

NHTSA complaint #11300093, filed 2020-01, 75,000 miles

“Ever since the FCA recall v69, we have a problem in which service shifter is locked on the main display and red lights stay on to the left of the gear selector. This happens at start up and stays on while driving. This never happened until right after we got the recall v69 corrected. Is FCA going to submit a recall for this new problem?? This should not be on my dime.”

NHTSA complaint #11270553, filed 2019-10, 52,291 miles

“I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee with 54,105 miles. Five times over the last month while driving, all the gear shift lifts turn red and a message comes up that says service shifter. When I park the car, shut it off and restart, the message is gone and the lights are no longer red. I have red many, many messages of people with identical issues. Please look into this problem.”
