“On June 18, 2026, I was driving my 2024 Grand Wagoneer on a busy city road. As I approached a busy intersection, I stopped at the red light. When I attempted to move forward when the light turned green, it moved a few feet (putting us in the middle of the intersection), the vehicle seized and became immobile. Almost every light on the dashboard lit up. Several messages flashed back and forth on the screen including Service transmission and then service electronic stability control . I immediately tried to use the SOS function, and when they answered, they were unable to hear me. …”

NHTSA complaint #11745417, filed 2026-06

“This issue happened 3 times in a matter of 2 months. All 3 happened in 3 different intersections. While turning left in the intersection (oncoming traffic also turning left) the vehicle jerks to a full stop in the middle of the intersection with a Crash Detected message flashing on the dashboard screen. The vehicle stayed in DRIVE and continued to drive after full stop the first 2 incidents. On the 3rd incident, the vehicle stopped completely, and would not continue to drive. …”

NHTSA complaint #11686079, filed 2025-09

“Incident: Frontal collision with a boulder at 30 MPH. 1. Component/System failure & Inspection Availability The primary failure was the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS); the driver’s frontal airbag failed to deploy during a high-energy frontal impact. Additionally, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)—specifically Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW)—failed to provide alerts or initiate emergency braking prior to impact. 2. Safety Risk The failure created a life-threatening risk. …”

NHTSA complaint #11738926, filed 2026-05

“The vehicle has ongoing electrical and battery system problems that cause safety and driver-assistance systems to malfunction or shut off unexpectedly. The vehicle has repeatedly been found dead after short periods of non-use, requiring jump starts and battery replacement. These electrical issues appear to affect multiple vehicle systems simultaneously. While driving, advanced safety features such as lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and proximity-based warning systems shut off, become unavailable, or behave inconsistently without warning. …”
