“I want to complain about not being able to get the recall on the passenger side air bag fixed. I was told by adam samuals chrysler in aransas pass, texas, that the part is no longer available?????? So, I did have the rear structure reinforcement done already. And it was at that time that they told me that the part for the air bag recall was unavailable on the 2003 Jeep I have. Absurd! I also had a problem with my driver seat assembly. I cannot make the back of my seat go up or down, which, depending on who drives the Jeep, is now a problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #10712121, filed 2015-04, 119,000 miles

“2003 Jeep Liberty limited. Drivers power seat adjuster failure. All 4 brackets holding the seat to the power adjuster has failed. You can lift the drivers seat off the power seat adjuster and the seat tips backwards while the Jeep is in motion. My Jeep is not able to be driven at all because the broken seat is a severe safety problem. I have contacted eastgate chrysler, dodge and Jeep, indianapolis, indiana about this safety problem and said that this not a recall problem. I was also told that the power seat adjuster is on national backorder with a delivery date of unknown. …”

NHTSA complaint #10302093, filed 2010-01, 132,600 miles

“The driver's power seat adjuster bracket has failed. The right rear bracket has broken free from the rest of the seat. The seat can now be manually tilted forward. I am concerned that the seat will become totally dislodged during operation of the vehicle. .”

NHTSA complaint #10478918, filed 2012-10, 84,300 miles

“Drivers side bracket for power seat broken when I stopped suddenly. Currently seat is not attached. What is the point of seat belts if the seat is broken. Can't find a replacement. All the ones in the junk yard are broken and chrysler has no stock.”

NHTSA complaint #10347766, filed 2010-08, 94,000 miles

“Rear brackets holding the seat to the power adjuster has failed. You can tip seat forward and when emergency breaking is needed seat shifts moderately forward. This is a hazard to me as the driver.”
