“My rear passenger side power window fell down and would not go back up. I tried the automatic push buttons and all my other windows worked, but not that particular window. Then the cord got caught and I could not open the door for my friend to get out of the back seat. I did not hit anything with my car and nothing hit my car. The window fell down on its own.”
NHTSA complaint #10323827, filed 2010-04, 89,000 miles“I have had to fix my rear window regulators 4 times and it is broke again. They are made so cheap, there is a plastic piece in it that keeps breaking, the motor still works but due to the plastic piece you have to replace the whole thing. It has become very expensive. Now I have my window stopped from opening. It fell and no one is ever in the back seat.”
NHTSA complaint #10251696, filed 2008-12, 28,000 miles“Without warning, the power window regulators in my 2003 Jeep Liberty sport failed. Both the driver and passenger rear windows stopped working within months of each other. I had them fixed and now just a few months later the passenger side window in the rear has stopped working again. I have read that this is a common problem with the Jeep Liberty. The faulty part(s) need to be recalled and fixed.”
NHTSA complaint #10357898, filed 2010-09, 60,359 miles“The rear passenger side window is broken again. I've already had the window regulator fixed on that side 3 (2005, 2007, & 2008) previous times. One time being only 14 months ago. This will be the fourth time I've had to have the window regulator fixed on the rear passenger window. I never roll my windows down.”
NHTSA complaint #10282333, filed 2009-08, 80,000 miles“I have 2003 Jeep Liberty and the passenger side window motor has went out. I searched the internet and found alot of other people has had the same problem. When I remove the motor it was made of cheap plastic I can not believe they did this knowing that it would break so easy.”
