“Window would not go back up. The dealer told me it was the window regulator cable, it broke, and the window regulator would have to be replace, but it not covered by warranty. It is taped up until I can a afford the replacement $450 + labor. Unreal. It should be covered. Its the first time it happened and I hope the last for me.”

NHTSA complaint #10615513, filed 2014-07, 46,121 miles

“Glass lift plate& motor have both given out at least twice in less than 2 years. It costs over $200 to have the dealer fix it. The window just falls for no reason. Come on we need a break. I don't know about the rest of the world but when I have to pay to fix something and it is very expensive I expect quality.”

NHTSA complaint #10576008, filed 2014-03, 125,000 miles

“Electric windows don't work. One day it worked they next day it didn't. There was no event to cause this. I have 2 windows that do not work, passenger side front window and driver side rear window. After checking on line I discovered that this was a problem that is occurring with a lot of people and that chrysler Jeep is aware of the problems.”

NHTSA complaint #10333871, filed 2010-05, 65,000 miles

“I have now had 3 of my windows fall down into the doors resulting in extremely costly repairs in my 2007 Jeep Liberty. Upon reading many other complaints I see chrysler is quite aware of this problem. It is very scary when driving down the road and it happens. I am very thankful this did not cause a severe mishap, but the potential is there.”

NHTSA complaint #10331499, filed 2010-05, 54,800 miles

“For the fourth time the power window regulators on my 2007 Jeep Liberty have broken one by one, the vehicle's warranty has expired and Jeep will not take responsibility for this defect. During warranty period all regulators were replaced one by one and now my passenger front window is broken again and I can hear the other windows that are about ready to give in again.”
