“Power window regulator failure. Headed to our son's college graduation driving down I-75 south of atlanta, ga and the rear passenger window just dropped into the door. Had to stop to borrow a coat hanger to get the window back up then buy duct tape to hold it in place. Was nearly late for the graduation ceremony. Will have to take time off from work to take the car in for repair.”

NHTSA complaint #10865012, filed 2016-05, 120,000 miles

“Window fell into door and is preventing the door from opening. Broke window regulator like so many other people have complained about. My daughter was driving the car and said the window just fell. I have the window up with a wedge to keep it from falling again. Luckily the window did not break.”

NHTSA complaint #10970174, filed 2017-04, 120,000 miles

“I was parked and preparing to leave work when my window dropped down into the door. I see that a recall was done on this same issue for my vehicle, but not my year.. I have a 2005 and they are only covering this issue for 2006 forward... Why.. If it is an issue with this model, than shouldn't the other years be covered as well?”

NHTSA complaint #10496369, filed 2013-02, 60,000 miles

“The window regulator (power windows) decided to no longer hold up the window (it rarely gets used). Was partially down so I went to open the rear drivers side door and it would not open. I wanted to prop the window up which I was able to do with a suction cup. I have read many many complaints about this happening on these vehicles. Seems like a problem the manufacturer should have to repair via recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10626470, filed 2014-08, 196,000 miles

“As I was driving down the road my window just dropped into the door. I was driving my foster dog to adoptions. When I pulled over to see what happened he jumped out if the open window. Since then the only window that works is the driver side. Apparently this is an issue with the Liberty. I thank god a child was not in the seat when the window went down. I have informed Jeep but they do not care.”
