“My boyfriends daughter was driver and my daughter (both minors) head busted on the front passenger windshield. Cars in front of them stopped abruptly and they were going 55 MPH and could not get stopped, hitting the car stopped in front of them. Neither driver nor passenger airbag deployed. My daughter is lucky!”
NHTSA complaint #10704259, filed 2015-04, 154,000 miles“I t-boned a taxi that tried clearing 3 lanes of roadway last minute to make his exit. I was going 30mph. Upon impact, the priuses airbags went off, and I noticed my airbags in the Jeep did not go off. For an impact at that speed, and hitting the car full frontal, it should have definitely gone off.”
NHTSA complaint #10649067, filed 2014-10, 240,000 miles“Regarding recall n46/NHTSA 13v-252: I responded to a Jeep dealership (st. Clair, mi) to have the recall related repair made. I was told by dealership staff the repair could not be completed as the vehicle's frame was too corroded. Though my vehicle was covered in the recall, the dealership did not complete the repair. Instead, they asked I sign a form acknowledging the frame was too corroded. I refused to sign that form. I took my vehicle to a local repair shop, who advised they found no such corrosion.”
NHTSA complaint #10701281, filed 2015-03, 200,000 miles“Driving along and rear right power window started to slip down. I tried to put it up but it made grinding noises and kept slipping. It started to rain, so rain came into vehicle. Also could not go to doc appt - could not leave unsecured vehicle in parking lot. Had to come home and stick a wooden wedge into window to keep it up. I was afraid window would fall into door frame and break. Hard to pay attention to road while constantly looking over shoulder at window.”
NHTSA complaint #10353725, filed 2010-09, 100,000 miles“I received a recall notice approximately 1/1/2014 for NHTSA 13v-252,and have been to the dealer three times to resolve but they never have the parts. The dealer claims that chrysler is not sending adequate quantities for demand (chrysler recall # n46). I have reached out to the chrysler group recall assistance center twice, and have been sent back to the dealer both times with no resolution. It has been an unreasonable amount of time, and I am requesting assistance from the administrator of the NHTSA for assistance in resolving this matter. The vehicle was repaired.”
