NHTSA complaint #10883872, filed 2016-07, 130,000 miles

“2007 Kia Sedona. At about 62,000 miles suspension was making noise. Dealer diagnosed the front sub cross member bushings as needing replacement-to the tune of $2200.00! This was done and it fixed the problem. At 67,000 miles a new front end noise has developed over bumps. I'm now told the control arm bushings need to be replaced and sway bar link bushings will be next. Car is maintained and used for local short trips around town. I would expect a recall for using substandard bushings.”

NHTSA complaint #10598499, filed 2014-06, 67,000 miles

“We heard a loud bang while going over a bump at the intersection of two city streets. The bang continued to be heard when hitting bumps/potholes. Mechanic found that the right front coil spring had broken. Vehicle is a 2007 Kia Sedona with no open recalls. The 2006 Kia Sedona vehicles were recalled in march 2012 with sc 095 for vehicles produced from december 20, 2005 to march 20, 2006. Our 2007 Kia Sedona was produced in september 2006 and was driven in illinois, a heavy salt use state, until june 2014. …”

NHTSA complaint #10714448, filed 2015-05, 115,800 miles

“Mechanic was rotating tires and observed that right front coil spring was broken and left front was close to broken. Opened ticket with Kia consumer affairs. During my investigation, I found that there was a recall (bulletin sc-095) for 2006 model year for this specific issue. Kia stated that recall was applicable to '06 only. We live and operate the vehicle in il, one of the states listed in the recall. My assumption is that the conditions causing the issue dealt with in the original recall continued to exist in later model years. …”
