“The engine stopped after driving through a small bump at the park lot (low speed), accompanied by steering wheel locking by itself. Tried to restart the car and it didn't work. Jump start was also unsuccessful. The car was towed to the nearby dealership. After days of waiting, I was told problem can not be diagnosed but they offer to replace the computer. Now I am waiting for their new result.”

“Our 2015 Kia second minivan overheated repeatedly in 2020 for unknown reasons resulting in a total engine failure and complete loss of value. After leaving a highway, the minivan overheated, resulting in a blinking engine light. It was quickly parked and later driven to a mechanic, who could not replicate the problem. After a period of operation at normal temperatures, it began to misfire. No warning lights appeared prior to or during these misfires. Nonetheless, we had the starter coils replaced based on a repair code. …”

The contact was able to coast to the shoulder of the roadway, where he observed that the engine block had separated from the engine with oil covering the entire engine compartment. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. …”
