None of the air bags were activated. He received serious injuries which he is now recovering from. The car is beyond repairs. Insurance companies for mark and myself have been notified and are active. A police report was filed.”

NHTSA complaint #10300305, filed 2010-01, 38,500 miles

“Takata recall. I am filing this complaint because the amount of time taken by takata and Lexus is in excess of the amount of time that should be allowed for this kind of safety matter. I submitted a written request to the dealer, westside Lexus, houston, tx. And have made several phone calls, including one today, in october, 2016 I was informed that the replacement might be available in december, 2016 or january, 2017. Today, I was told that they could not give me a date and it was in the government's hands as to when takata would send the parts to them for the replacement. …”

NHTSA complaint #10944653, filed 2017-01, 60,000 miles

“Passenger airbag light keep switching from on to off and off to on. We brought it in twice into Lexus to have them fix the problem, but they keep saying there is nothing wrong with it. I know they had problems with the 2007 Lexus es 350. My 2008 is having the same problem. All I'm asking them is to have fix the problem, before any accident happen. My husband and I carpool everyday to work, and we are so afraid that if there is an accident, the airbag might not deploy because of the sensor problem and turning the airbag off.”
