“Takata recall -- the dealer told me that the remedy will not be available until the second quarter of 2017. They suggest I not allow passengers in the front passenger seat until then. If this is true, any passenger I allow in that seat will be in jeopardy for the next 10 to 11 months which seems unreasonable. Is there any way to expedite this?”

NHTSA complaint #10889102, filed 2016-07, 80,000 miles

“Takata recall - I am being told that it will be the first qtr of 2017 before they expect to have replacement parts. That is almost a year since the notice. We cannot use this car with more than the driver on board. This is an unacceptable delay in getting parts. Honda had it done in a month. We would prefer not to be given a rental car.”

NHTSA complaint #10924603, filed 2016-11, 50,000 miles

“My vehicle, 2005 Lexus ES350 is equipped with front passenger airbag inflators produced by takata. As of today november 22, 2017, my vehicle is still not being recall by the manufacturing to have replace the defect airbag. Also, my driver side backseat seatbelt is not hold on when latched in. I believe it is a safety that need to be fix. I am still using the vehicle for driving.”

NHTSA complaint #11048073, filed 2017-11, 83,000 miles

“Takata recall: received recall for my Lexus es 350. It is our family vehicle with only 45000 miles on it. We have no other automobile to safely travel in as a family. The current solution is for us to wait for a solution? I live in alabama which is hot and humid. I need to know what Lexus is going to do to provide my family a safe and comfortable way of transportation.”

NHTSA complaint #10888504, filed 2016-07, 45,000 miles

“Takata recall notified default airbag installed in my vehicle that can do bodily harm I purchased this vehicle with with hope that I wouldn't have any problems with the brand name of this vehicle. The price and suppose quality of the Lexus ES350 shouldn't have such problems I'am disappointed with the manufacture”
