Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My vehicle’s alarm repeatedly activates while the vehicle is parked, turned off, and locked, approximately every 15 minutes. When the vehicle is unlocked, the front and rear lights remain illuminated even though the vehicle is turned off and the keys are not in or near it. The battery was tested twice after the vehicle had been at rest before I brought it to the dealership. The dealership subsequently replaced the battery for approximately $350, stating that this would likely resolve the symptoms. …”

NHTSA complaint #11772184, filed 2026-10

“1- ABS/Braking Issue The ABS system appears to be malfunctioning. On multiple occasions, typically once or twice a week, when I apply the brakes, the tires lock up and cause the vehicle to skid. This happens most often when descending hills or backing up on a sloped driveway. The wheels lock and slide until I release the brake pedal, posing a serious safety concern. 2- Severe Water Leak Interior Roof Area There is a significant water leak from the interior roof, specifically from the top center area near the rearview mirror, every time it rains. …”

NHTSA complaint #11691739, filed 2025-10

“4/19/22 Staten Island NY. As I was getting off of the Hylan Blvd exit from the SI Expressway traveling toward NJ, I made a left turn. While the wheel was turned the power steering failed, locking up the steering wheel. These alerts came on the dashboard: Hill Start Assist Warning, Service Steering, Pre-Collision Assist Not Available. The car was towed to Dana Ford and the technician says that a high voltage fuse burned out. They also stated that they wanted to find the cause for the fuse to burn out before replacing it. This was two weeks ago.”

NHTSA complaint #11463058, filed 2022-05

“The car has stopped electrically with no response from any switches when trying to switch on. This has happened before couple of times and once it switched on by itself after 5 min, the second incident it had to be towed away from road after no response in 2 hours. This time it happened like every time and no response from electrical systems and blocked the road.”

NHTSA complaint #11588586, filed 2024-05

“My Aviator was parked with trunk open to load groceries from shopping cart. Must have stepped under bumper such that it triggered the kick sensor to close the tailgate. The problem is, it did NOT detect spouse’s body, did NOT stop the tailgate from closing & as a result, hit him on the head. He jolted out of the way & the tailgate continued to close all the way. This is serious safety issue!”
