“My 2009 MKX has scared the heck out of us as we thought a bomb had gone off, followed by the high-pitched whine which only stopped after we turned the car off and open a door for it to reset itself. We were driving with kids in the back asleep,, and all of a sudden it went off and we couldn't stand it. Turning the radio off didn't help, turning the AC off didn't help either. We were forced to pulled over in the middle of the night. Since then I can not trust my car won't go off and cause me to hit another car or god forbid something else. …”

“The A/C went out, blowing hot air. So took it to the mech. He said looked like wear from a tube placed to tight and near the condenser rubbed a hole in it. Approx repair cost 1500.00. We bought the car in 2011, used at lybergers anchorage ak,puchased custom edge, warrentech auto inc, bedford, tx, extended warranty. For $3000.00..so of course after a battle with warrentech, they denied claim they said a rock hit the condenser. We were looking for info from Lincoln for others with problem of c/c condenser. Thanks”

“Subject : getting a raw deal ! Just bought 2009 Lincoln MKX. Problems are surmounting quickly. Fumes in cabin recall is connected to transmission failure in fords, lincolns, mazda years 2007 - 2013 approximately as reported. The fuel pump fails and is not easily replaceable. Ford is at fault for poorly designing a $200 part behind a timing chain which requires removal before you can reach the fuel pump to replace - costing the customer exorbitant amount of money to repair.”

NHTSA complaint #11240473, filed 2019-07, 173,334 miles

“Sync radio. Every once in a while, without warning, the radio will suddenly emit an extremely loud explosion noise, enough to startle you to jerk the wheel and leaving your ears ringing. This has happened to us three times since owning the vehicle. Once on a local highway and twice on the freeway. At all times was the vehicle being driven in a straight line. Research online shows many complaints as this appears is a common problem with the sync radio and Lincoln has no resolution. This is a safety issue that should be addressed.”

NHTSA complaint #10935602, filed 2016-12, 40,000 miles

“I’ve replaced my blend door actuator 2 times since owning this car in the past year and it’s gone out again. It clicks under the driver’s side constantly until I turn on the temperature control. And when it doesn’t click it blows out hot air on the drivers side and cold air on the passenger side with ac on and cold air on drivers side with heat on and that’s when I know I need to replace it. This is a constant issue in this vehicle and it has cost me a lot of money to keep replacing the same part.”
