“I'm not sure if this is considered a design flaw, but I do consider this a safety issue. While driving, I have reached over to press the button to turn on my radio and my car has turned off and I have to come/roll to a complete stop to restart the car. After this happened a few times, I realized I was pressing the button located next to the radio button. The button I was pressing was the start/stop button. Luckily I have done this while driving around my small town, but it would cause an accident if this happened on a 4-8 lane highway. …”

Once engine stops, all electrical continues to work. There is no warning when this happens. You can put car in park and restart, and issue resolves, but happens randomly. This is a brand new vehicle with less than 800 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #10780950, filed 2015-10, 800 miles

“The vehicle when accelerating lets exhaust and carbon monoxide into car interior. Took the SUV to dealer and has been worked on several times with no fix. Ford motor company field engineer was unable to fine and recommend a repair. Asked ford to repurchase vehicle but they refused saying its norm for the SUV. They did not give any regulations or anything that would support this as we should not have to breathe gas fumes when traveling down a highway. …”
