“The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln MKZ. The contact stated that while closing the windows, they were scratched by an element inside the door panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection who stated that the window tray needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 62,143.”

There was an abnormal winding noise detected. The window failed to go up when the button was depressed. The engine and air bag warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that there was no wheel bearing work completed on the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 210,000. The VIN was not available.”

The vehicle can lo longer keep fog clear or defrost the windshield in cold weather. Also the HVAC controls have suck in the ip and it is hard to get to the defrost button when needed for visibility. Yellow particles in the air when if defrost mode causing occupants to cough.”
