“I have had to replacethe AC compressor pump this will be the third one. I cant afford $700.00 dollars per pump and it onlu last for 8 months. I seen all the complaint people have with this same issue. When is Mazda going to step up and help us resolve this issue. I will never buy or recommend a Mazda to anyone. Between that and the turbo they are junk and not depedable at all.”

NHTSA complaint #10811810, filed 2015-12, 115,000 miles

“Driving on my way to tennessee, the car had a major power loss and screeching noise from inside the engine bay. The car was taken to the closest Mazda dealership and was told that the turbo had to be replaced due to engine sludge. The car had regular oil changes using the proper amount and oil weight. Mazda had a recall involving the turbo and they did not honor it because I was about 1000 miles over the extended warranty.”

“I drove 200 miles stopped the car to get something to eat, when I restarted it a loud whistling noise came from engine and wouldn't stop. Called roadside assistance and it was towed 2 days later because it happened on a saturday night. It took 3days for it to be fixed and I'm not sure it is running properly. I also had the timing chain replaced at 60,000 miles. I will never buy another Mazda.”

My wife going about 5-10mph while making a turn in a residential neighborhood when the smoking started. We towed the vehicle to the dealership and explained what happened. Their mechanic took the vehicle and had it for three weeks. I picked the vehicle up and made it maybe 5 minutes down the road, and the vehicle did the same thing. …”
