“While traveling approximately 10 MPH and turning out of a business and into traffic the right, front lower control arm separated from the ball joint causing my vehicle to come to a complete stop in front of oncoming traffic. This has been a recall for cx9's and I am unsure why the issue has not been addressed in the cx7.”

“My car has a safety recall for the front suspension control arm ball joint. And there are no parts yet available according to online Mazda. However my car will not pass safety inspection here until it is fixed. This I cannot register the vehicle and drive it legally in 2 months. Can you please advise what I can so?”

NHTSA complaint #10928348, filed 2016-11, 152,000 miles

“Nhtsa recall #16v-593 - this recall indicates that there is the risk of significant loss of steering control increasing the risk of a crash. This recall is taking an inordinate amount of time, and I think that it is imperative that this be expedited in order to replace the part before it becomes a more severe issue which could include litigation. The steering control is a vital part of the operation of this vehicle and I don't think that it is feasible or fair to the owners of Mazda vehicles to be placed in such a precarious situation. …”
