“I took my car into the dealer for front in wobble / noise and engine oil consumption. 3 weeks and $1980 later, the front end was worse and I was told that the oil is burning internally and needed to be replaced. Neither the dealer nor Mazda would work with me to get back some of the money. 3 months later, the transmission failed with no warning. This car is dealer maintained.”

NHTSA complaint #10098453, filed 2004-11

“At 81,100 miles the engine check light came on. The dealer told me to replace the crankshaft sensor at $700.00 which I did. Less than 300 mi later, the light came on again. This time I was told the whole computer was failing & needed replacement at $1600.00. Since my car has much less than 100,000 miles, I feel these problems should be covered by a warranty.”

According to the mechanic, the engine stopped . …”
