“Takata recall I have been waiting my local dealer of mercedes benz to replace the air bags with there excuse that they do not have the parts available. Its been over a year. I have called them today and they have the same excuse. Make me believe that they are waiting me to change or sale the car to then not have the responsibility to replace the equipment. I use the car on a daily basis.”

NHTSA complaint #11130368, filed 2018-09, 94,586 miles

“Takata r ecall. I have been to the dealer where I bought the car and complained about no action on the airbag recall. The dealer is doing nothing to fix the problem. He simply says we don't have the airbags. I pointed out they have plenty of airbags for new cars but got no response”

NHTSA complaint #11152442, filed 2018-11, 12,000 miles

“Takata recall we were notified of this recall over two years ago. There has been no movement on a repair. This is absurd, we have actually been notified that our two mercedes vehicles that are affected by this recall, have been dropped in priority for a repair.”

NHTSA complaint #11175690, filed 2019-02, 55,000 miles

“Takata recall the vehicle was purchased in august of 2014 and I received my first notice regarding airbag replacement in late 2016. I have contacted my local dealer several times with no satisfaction from them. They tell me the same story each time I call or show up in person, you will be notified when we have a airbag for your vehicle. This is the passenger side airbag and it offers no protection to my passengers in the event of a crash. Can you help?”

NHTSA complaint #11081716, filed 2018-03, 32,000 miles

“Takata recall I was involved in a head on collision in 2015 driving my 2012 mercedes C250. The impact was severe and totaled my car, but the airbags did not deploy. My crashing speed was well over 45mph. I purchased a mercedes benz from the dealer for its safety and I am disappointed that mercedes benz failed to recognize the defect before selling me a car that wasn't safe. I am lucky to walk away with minor injuries, I have been terrified of driving a motor vehicle ever since.”
