“Was at stop light completely stopped. When the light turned green, I stepped on the accelerator and my car did not accelerate. The engine light and another light came on. I tried multiple times to move the car and nothing happened. I powered my car down and restarted it, at this time the car started moving again when I pressed on the accelerator.”
NHTSA complaint #10556990, filed 2013-12, 50,000 miles“Having two issues. The first one is the check fuel intake warning light comes on and my check engine light stays on. This appears to be causing my car to cut out dangerously at intersections as well as the wrench light to come in and my car 'limps' home.”
NHTSA complaint #11102905, filed 2018-06, 189,542 miles“I have no throttle response, engine RPM drop back to an idle, engine runs rough and stalls. No power. Moving to the side of the road, turn engine off and restart and will runs fine, but today this problem recurred every 4 miles. I was only 22 miles from home but that is a lot of stopping along side of the road.”
NHTSA complaint #10532143, filed 2013-07, 64,500 miles“We were traveling down the highway at 60 MPH when the engine went dead like the switch was cut off. I tried to restart the engine and it would try to start then go dead. I did this 10 times and it finally started. I took it directly to the local ford dealer. A computer check did not show any problem. The dealer said he did not know what to work on and said to return it when it happens again.”
NHTSA complaint #10542223, filed 2013-09, 38,000 miles“While driving in heavy traffic in center lane of three line highway. Vehicle suddenly lost power creating a emergency situation. I had to force traffic to allow me proceed to side of the road. Endangering myself and my family, I sat for about 30 min. Before I could move the vehicle.”
