“Yellow wrench light came on, indicating a throttle body problem. Car lurched and accelerated erratically, particularly when going up hill while the engine was laboring. Mechanic was unable to find diagnostic codes. He cleaned the fuel injection system, but that had no effect on the problem. The yellow wrench appears after 10 minutes of driving, andthe car lurches and continues to accelerate erratically. What am I to do? I feel that this is hazardous issue with this car and I notice I am not the on lo y one to have this issue. …”

The contact stated that while traveling approximately 70 MPH, there was a sudden loss of engine power and an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. The contact mentioned that the accelerator pedal was depressed and failed to respond. The contact mentioned that the check engine light illuminated and the instrument panel failed intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000. The VIN was not available.”
