“The owners and or sellers of this dangerous and life threatening vehicle that was sold to me knowing that the car was in extremely bad condition. These criminals sold me the vehicle knowing that it was not smog cleared or approved. They sold me a fatal accident waiting to o happen! They intentionally modified the odometer/mileage to 85k/95k... But when I ran a check on car fax, it clearly showed that this vehicle was 206,851 miles of wear and tear to engine. …”

“After the brake light was sporadically coming on and off while I was driving, I brought my 2007 Altima into the dealership. The technicians diagnosed that the master cylinder is leaking. The car has just over 27,300 miles on it. The mechanic topped off the fluid and advised me to bring it back in a few days when they had an open appointment. I am the first and only owner.”

NHTSA complaint #10421256, filed 2011-08, 27,300 miles

“Brake light on the dash keeps turning on when I accelerate and make sharp turns. Called Nissan and they told me that there is a brake fluid leak that needs to be addressed. The car is 3 years old. After searching the internet I saw that my vehicle is not the only 2007 Altima that has reported this issue in the last two months alone.”

NHTSA complaint #10368268, filed 2010-11, 29,000 miles

“I noticed a leak on the garage floor and a flashing on/off of the dash board brake warning light. I am taking it into the dealer today to have it checked out. I have a fear of a master cylinder after reading about all the complaints for this make/model. Concern as well due to recall summary research about the defect investigations related to Altima brakes. Nhtsa campaign id # pe11020.”

NHTSA complaint #10425429, filed 2011-09, 51,000 miles

“I have a 2007 Nissan Altima with only 23,000 miles. The brake light comes on frequently. Sometimes it goes back off quickly, and other times it stays on for a while. I was told that the master cylinder needs replacing, but is not covered by warranty or recall. It seems like a very common problem that should be handled with a recall from Nissan, they have already done so for the sentra.”
