“I parked the car on a slight incline, placed the shifter in park and stepped on the emergency brake. I exited the vehicle, left the driver door open. I opened the left rear door, removed my dog and closed the door. I looked up just in time as I was struck by the open front door of my car, knocked to the ground and it rolled over my leg. It rolled for approximately 30 feet and struck a tree.”

NHTSA complaint #10895546, filed 2016-08, 39,851 miles

“I was driving the freeway and lost power engine and shut offs I'm not sure how I didn't have the accident yet. Take it to mechanic find out it was a throttle body position sensor and the throttle body camshaft position sensor crankshaft position sensor replaced all that still giving the same problem how to replace it again. So the speed limit was 70 I was going 65 so lost lost in the entire engine at speed of 65 is really difficult to maneuver”

NHTSA complaint #11174693, filed 2019-02, 61,000 miles

“Car would not stop as I was trying stop from hitting a vehicle that stopped I'm front of me, due to brakes locking up and I tried to swerve to prevent an accident from occurring the steering wheel locked up as well.”

NHTSA complaint #11280966, filed 2019-11, 101,000 miles

“The double safety feature of pressing the break to start the car becomes void when the caliper has an issue even without the brake light engaging to show an issue. The car is tricked into thinking that the break is being pressed and will allow you to start it with just pressing the start button. My 8yr old was in the car playing while I was cleaning it and was also able to put the car in gear due to the mechanical system reading that the break was engaged. The car also continues to run after the key is removed and you can drive off with no key in the car. I”

NHTSA complaint #11096795, filed 2018-05, 80,000 miles

“The driver in front of me suddenly stopped and when I applied hard pressure on the brakes they did not react quickly, causing the car to continue rolling and hit the car in front of me. This is the second time it happened - the first time being in early september. Both times the car was either stationary or barely moving and a hard brake didn't respond like it should. This is third Nissan I have had (07 sentra, 99 Altima), and I have never had this problem and am familiar with the braking system.”
