“The low beam headlights are poor. Nissan install a brand new set of lights and I can't see but 5 feet in front of my car at night. The light illuminated is terrible. The headlight assembly is the problem. They knew it before they took my $130 to replace with lihghts that did me no good. I use high beams mostly.”

NHTSA complaint #11400206, filed 2021-03, 89,975 miles

“I have changed the light bulbs 3 times . They are so dim I avoided accidents . I drive with high beam and it is not fair for the other drivers. Universal Nissan in orlando in zip code told me it is normal.my personal mechanic told me it is not the bulb but the mirroe surrounding the bulb that is faded.a few people I know have similar problem.”

NHTSA complaint #11243824, filed 2019-08, 45,000 miles

“The headlights are too dim to drive safely at night. You cannot see more than a few feet in front of the car. High beams must be used to see on roads that have no street lights. I have hit multiple things in the road when the vehicle is in motion at night due to the fact that I can not see them until it is too late to maneuver out of the way.”

NHTSA complaint #11174955, filed 2019-02, 130,000 miles

“The low beam on my Nissan Altima is extremely dim. Is so dangerous to drive at night. My friend got an accident last night because of this issue. I have to use the hight beam when I'm driving at night, this is also another safety issue which affects the the other drives but we have to, otherwise we could hit somebody.”

NHTSA complaint #11373268, filed 2020-11, 2 miles

“The regular headlights (not high beams) are so dim that it makes it very difficult to see at night. In low light areas (city streets) I have bumped the curb because I could not see it and when turning in low lit intersections, I am unable to see where the lanes are, making it very difficult to safely turn. I have cleaned the outer part of the headlight and replaced the lights with no improvement.”
