“When I am idle at a red light and get ready to take off, I step on the gas and the RPM hand moves however,t he vehicle doesn't and then it suddenly jumps to take off. Many times I was almost rear ended because of the delay of the vehicle not moving and my foot is off the break. Drivers would assume I am going.”

NHTSA complaint #11355525, filed 2020-09, 155,000 miles

“I was driving when my car started to jerk and a slip indicator light appears on the dashboard but I continued driving on city street. I got to a light about to turn and the car would not go forward but only roll back. It?s the CVT transmission car was lost power p0776 code was found”

NHTSA complaint #11389317, filed 2021-01, 100,000 miles

“My car shut down multiple times while driving it to work. I had to get it towed to Nissan and find a way to work. Nissan said they reprogrammed the CVT transmission and didnt bother to tell me there was a recall. When I got it back it was worse than when I took it in the first time. It is unprofessional and dangerous for them not to tell me about the recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10991565, filed 2017-05, 40,000 miles

“I puchased the vehicle in 7/2016 used with 47,000 miles. Never ran great. Needed new CVT transmission at 63000. Miles. Was repaired .. Now 99,347. Miles failure of CVT trasmission again. Car only 5 years old. Dealer says not their problem vehicle stopped at a light. Would not accelerate when stepped on pedal. Cars driving toward me in anticipation of me moving put me in grave and dire harms way”

NHTSA complaint #11252409, filed 2019-08, 99,347 miles

“In august of 2017 I was about to park my Altima when the transmission went out. I attempted to restart the car and the car would not shift into gear. Eventually, after many issues with a Nissan security plus warranty bait and switch issue I got the CVT transmission replaced. I have noticed even on this new transmission it still shudders around 25 MPH frequently.”
