“While driving down the road, approximately 3 miles into my drive, I stopped at a stop light. When I tried to accelerate, my car would not move. After 2-3 seconds it decided to accelerate. About another half mile down the road at the next stop light, it did it again. Each time, I was almost rear ended by cars behind me trying to get to the interstate. The car is now at the dealership being looked at.”

NHTSA complaint #11350866, filed 2020-08, 97,000 miles

“While driving my car and merging onto a busy interstate, the check engine light, traction control, and blind spot monitoring error lights all came on the car would not accelerate. The RPM gauge would go up and the car would try to go, but it just wouldn't. I almost got rear ended by a semi truck because my car wasn't able to go or move out of the way. I left it in a shop for over a week and apparently it's something to do with the CVT transmission and speed sensors. …”

NHTSA complaint #11323160, filed 2020-05, 132,000 miles

“P17f0 is the diagnostic code that I received after taking my 2013 Altima sv 2.5 to a mechanic due to loss of power, horrible gas milage and a heavy vibration/rumbling noise coming from the front of my car.”

NHTSA complaint #11398138, filed 2021-02, 54,000 miles

“Takata recal: I have a 2013 nissian Altima and when I push the gas pedal it doesn't accelerate like it supposed to. For an exapmle when I push the gas pedal all the way to the floor it doesn't do anything. This happens about two or three times when I'm driving in a 20minute span. Also, when I turn off my car (it has a push start) my break lights are on. When I turn it off I don't have to push the break and push the start button. (the car thinks I'm stepping on the break).”

NHTSA complaint #11000640, filed 2017-06, 60,000 miles

“On 3/25/19 my 2013 Nissan Altima stalled while driving home from work on a city street. While driving to work the following day 3/26/19 during rush hour traffic on a city street my car shut off without warning while idle. There were no dash lights to indicate what was wrong with my car. The car starts but when it is placed in gear it shuts off again and again. This is a safety hazard, thankfully I was not on the freeway. I was finally able to get the car started and pulled into a gas station. I have to get my car towed to a dealership due to it shutting off.”
