“When I come to as stop and then try to accelerate again the car will be real sluggish. It has delayed acceleration. If I'm on the freeway and stop and then try to accelerate it takes a long time so take off. I have almost crashed a few times due to this. If I shut the car off and turn it back on then it runs like normal. But if I stop and accelerate it does it again.”

NHTSA complaint #11327347, filed 2020-06, 105,550 miles

“My transmission stopped working while I was driving first in the city and it continued to when I went on the highway to the point I had no power and the when I pressed the gas nothing would happen. I had to have the computer in the transmission replaced and the car still idles as if it will cut off at any moment. That was at 40k and I just had to replace the o2 sensor at 60k”

NHTSA complaint #11044416, filed 2017-11, 40,000 miles

“Acceleration problems, caused the car to accelerate through a stop sign. The car was in motion, I was proceeding to stop at a stop sign on a city street and the car all of sudden accelerated through the stop sign cause me to swerve to gain control, eventually I ran over something in the street.”

NHTSA complaint #11145309, filed 2018-11, 47,000 miles

“I have a 2016 Nissan Altima with 85,000 miles that is currently experiencing some issues. I've found multiple people online that are having the same problem. The vehicle at times when pushing down the accelerator will not respond then suddenly take off like it's in 3rd gear. This has caused me too get stuck in intersections with no power and nearly causing accidents. Nissan is saying there is no issue. How can this not be a safety recall?”

NHTSA complaint #11288630, filed 2019-12, 84,000 miles

“Check engine light came on twice within 3 months of using this car. And it was one of the severe types of illness the car has, if not fixed I could've been stuck on a remote area with no phone reception, which where I live by the way. The car had a slow acceleration, when I stopped on a stop light/sign. Had that fixed on december right before christmas week, but engine light came on again after 2 weeks of driving it, car won't shift gears again, slow acceleration, probably has something to do with its transmission etc.”
