“I came out this morning to a shattered panoramic sun roof. The car was parked all night with no surrounding trees or anything above it. The glass just shattered (exploded) into small pieces with no contact or any type of contact. The car was parked in my driveway all night.”
NHTSA complaint #11385105, filed 2020-12, 99,000 miles“I was driving my wife's 2013 Nissan JUKE which was purchased in december of 2013. I was driving the car by myself for the second time and therefore I was not accustomed to using the keyless ignition. I stopped to check the mail box approximately 100 feet on top of a small hill on the road of my condominium complex, where the mail box was located. I was focused on the process of using the new push button system of turning off the ignition and consequently did not shift the car into park. …”
NHTSA complaint #10651309, filed 2014-10, 14,841 miles“I was driving to work on a major tollway freeway in houston, texas at about 5:30 in the morning. A rock flew up and hit my passenger side foglight and shattered it. I just bought this car three weeks prior. I feel that this will be a constant problem. Whoever decided to put glass foglights low in the front is not very smart. Engineeringly speaking these foglights are not tilted to help with the impact of debris on a freeway. They should have thought about this a little more when they made them. Not to mention, I bought this car brand new. I did not expect any problems so soon. …”
