Example complaints
Engine: “Approx 1:00 p.m. I pulled into the wendy's drive through and the line was wrapped around the building. There was a large like ford truck in front of me. I sat there maybe 1 min and I thought felt my car jump (and I thought 'what was that'), then the truck pulled up and the second I removed my foot from the brake, my car felt like an airplane and I plowed into the truck in front of me (I had no control). My car kept going until he it knocked him out of the line of the drive through line and my car kept going across the parking lot then up onto the curb, but it stopped before hitting a tree. …”
NHTSA complaint #11301049, filed 2020-01, 11,225 milesElectrical system: “My 2017 awd JUKE has only 16,000 miles on it and already needs the front tires replaced. The back tires look almost new. I took it in to have the tires rotated and was told they are too worn to rotate and would need to buy 4 new tires. The other problem is the car would not start sometimes. It is push button start. I noticed the green key light flashing on the dash. After reading the manuel, I replaced the battery in the fob. That did not rectify the problem. The brake pedal will not engage to start the car. …”
NHTSA complaint #11244726, filed 2019-08, 16,000 milesBrakes: “My traction light and brake light repeatedly have come on and remain on over the course of the last year but have not come up as part of any of the safety recalls that are affecting other nukes that were built during the same time period. In addition, my car makes a humming sound as if engaging the traction system at each stop. I've had the car serviced and the brakes changed but to no avail, the lights have returned a mere 3 weeks after getting new porcelain brakes and rotors installed. …”
NHTSA complaint #11289043, filed 2019-12, 55,000 milesOther or unknown: “We purchased this vehicle brand new and currently has 24,000 miles and has always been garaged . I just became aware now that there is no functioning burglar alarm and possibly no ignition lock-out similar to the Kia and Hyundai issue . Even though there is a functioning armed indicator light on the dash and there is a horn alert on locking and the button on the key fob alerts , there is no alarm on attempted entry or other assault . …”
