Example complaints

Transmission and drivetrain: “Faulty transmission, my car has less than 60k miles and the transmission started failing. It was up to date on transmission fluid and filters were good. My mechanic couldn't thing a reason why the transmission was failing, I was suggested to put a brand new transmission on my car which has only 55k miles, this started to happen while I was on the highway, my transmission started slipping out of no where”

NHTSA complaint #11240423, filed 2019-07, 54,000 miles

Engine: “What has happened is in my letter that was not sent to Nissan yet but every occurrence is listed and filed with Nissan consumer affairs you will see the case numbers. This is also my report to you. If more information is needed I will supply it”

NHTSA complaint #11233487, filed 2019-07, 52,716 miles

Electrical system: “Transmission failure 2016 Nissan JUKE sl awd which began day after I bought it. I described this to dealer as car revs but no acceleration. Initially it would happen after driving on highway for about 1-1.5 hours. Now it begins within the 10 miles it takes to drive to pick up rental car. Three times thus far I have been nearly rear ended, once by a tractor trailer whose wheels I can still hear screeching because the car wouldn't accelerate coming off an exit. The only solution is to stop the car in its 'tracks' to try to get the transmission to catch. …”

NHTSA complaint #11102696, filed 2018-06, 84 miles

Other or unknown: “My sunroof exploded for no reason. My car was parked in front of my house. Thank goodness I was not driving on the highway I take to go to work everyday. Weather temps were ideal not too hot nor cold. Unknown on how this occurred.”
