“3/25/2023 784 miles and 12 days after purchasing the vehicle The throttle got stuck, cruise was on but not activated, was going 100mgh, hit the brakes, slowed the speed, every time I took my foot off the brake, I was doing 90-100mph. I hit the brakes 5-7 times to try to cancel the cruise even though it was was set. It said Activate so it was not on. Then after hitting the brakes repeatedly, I heard a loud kerplunk (metal on metal) sound in the engine behind the brake pedal, and it shut off and drove normally afterwards. …”
NHTSA complaint #11630588, filed 2024-12“I was caught in a snowstorm, driving about 5 MPH. Suddenly, the vehicle swerved to the left and I lost complete control; the brakes locked up. The moment was surreal; I’ve never felt closer to a life-threatening incident because I had ZERO CONTROL over the car: I was spared ONLY because there was no oncoming traffic. My biggest concern is why the safety systems failed to intervene. During the incident, the ABS did NOTHING. Traction Control, NOTHING. …”
