“Monterey window sticker states my vehicle has equipped forward emergency braking. This is supported by a 2017.5 rouge press kit release publication Nissan media. This important safety function recently failed to apply the brakes and vehicle rear ended another car. This feature never worked. I feel cheated by Nissan. Vehicle in motion at the time.”

NHTSA complaint #11298316, filed 2020-01, 14,000 miles

“The feb system would brake my car randomly, especially in parking garages. I would be in an open lane with no cars in front of me. It's concerning when there are cars behind me. I got the system updated at my last service appointment, it does seem to happen less, but it still occurred once since then. However, this shouldn't occur at all.”

NHTSA complaint #11231196, filed 2019-07, 23,000 miles

“I was driving down the highway at 50 miles an hour when suddenly my collision alarm started beeping and the brakes activated causing the vehicle to suddenly slow down, while making a grinding sound and caused the steering wheel to shake. There were no objects in front of me and thankfully there were no cars directly behind me, that could have struck my vehicle due to the sudden unexpected stop.”

NHTSA complaint #11408681, filed 2021-04, 44,345 miles

“I was travelling in teaneck, nj, going east on churchill road , approaching tthe intersection of windsor road. I attempted to slow my vehicle, in order to make a right turn. I stepped on the brake pedal, but the car did not slow down or stop. As a result, I went through the intersection, hit the curb, and went off the road, finally coming to a stop in a grassy area.”

NHTSA complaint #11195404, filed 2019-04, 22,609 miles

“My car wouldn't brake without a delay I thought my brakes were broke. I was driving down the highway. In the middle of the day. No traffic was in the way. I left a voicemail with carmax to let them know and ask for service as I just purchased the vehicle 4 days before. I'm waiting for a call back.”
